Capanna Gnifetti or Mantova Refuge
Depending on the availability of the refuges, we will stay at one of the two key hubs for mountaineers in the area: The Capanna Gnifetti (3,647 m) is a historic refuge on Monte Rosa, serving as a starting point for ascents to Punta Gnifetti and Capanna Margherita. It offers basic accommodations and spectacular views. The Rifugio Mantova (3,498 m) is a modern and welcoming structure, ideal for acclimatization before tackling more challenging climbs. Both refuges are perfect bases for exploring the peaks and glaciers of Monte Rosa.
