In the afternoon, you descend into Switzerland. Along the way, you will pass through a local farm where you can sample some local cheeses before you reach La Fouly. The day starts with some quick downhill km to warm up before quite a challenging hike to Bovine (known for incredible Swiss lunches, especially the Rösti). In the afternoon, you will head back down to the world-famous Col de la Forclaz, an important part of the Tour De France cycle race (local ice cream store!). The day ends with a pleasant descent through the trees to the picturesque Swiss village of Trient, its pink church, and our hotel.Distance: 18.5 km (11.4 mi) | Elevation Gain: +810 m (+2,657 ft) -980 m (-3,215 ft) | Time: 6-7 hours
