What you'll do

Buoux is a small village in Provence, just a short drive from Marseille, yet it feels worlds apart with only 120 inhabitants and a peaceful, remote atmosphere. Nestled among lavender fields and rolling hills, it’s not just the scenery that makes Buoux special—it’s the legendary limestone cliffs that have drawn climbers for decades. Featuring vertical walls filled with pockets, sweeping overhangs, and striking formations, Buoux has hosted some of the greatest climbers in history, including Patrick Edlinger, Marc and Antoine Le Menestrel, and Lynn Hill. Climbing here means stepping into the past and progressing on the very same routes that shaped free climbing in the ‘80s and ‘90s. This trip is perfect for climbers with lead climbing experience, ready to immerse themselves in a world-class climbing destination.

Itinerary

We meet at Marseille Airport around 4 PM, where our transfer to Buoux awaits. Upon arrival at the charming Auberge des Seguins, we settle in and enjoy a welcome gathering to get to know each other.
After breakfast, we have a briefing with the guide to review belay techniques, climbing maneuvers, and gear checks. The guide will introduce us to the climbing sectors and routes for the day, tailored to the group's skill level. We'll get our first experience with the famous limestone pockets of Buoux climbing, followed by a refreshing dip in the pool and a group dinner.
We start the day with breakfast and a briefing on the day’s climbing objectives. It's time to challenge ourselves with a new sector, easily accessible on foot from the Auberge des Seguins, a well-known Buoux gite. We’ll tackle fresh routes and push our limits. The afternoon offers some well-deserved relaxation before dinner.
By now, you're feeling confident and warmed up—it's your last chance to send your project! After the day's climbing, we take an evening trip to the picturesque village of Lourmarin, followed by a farewell dinner together.
Our final morning in the peaceful countryside of Buoux gites, enjoying a relaxed breakfast before packing up. We transfer back to Marseille, where we recommend booking return flights from 12 PM onward. It’s time for goodbyes, but we’ll see each other on future adventures!
