Itinerary

Day 1 - Journey Begins (2,180 m)

The adventure begins at Trento train station (12 PM), followed by a car transfer to Rifugio Vallesinella. From there, the hike starts towards Rifugio Brentei, a stunning refuge set among towering cliffs and green meadows. Dinner and an overnight stay mark the end of the first day. Distance: 7 km (4.3 mi) | Elevation Gain: +500 m (+1,640 ft) -100 m (-328 ft) | Time: 3-4 hours

Day 2 - Crossing Bocca di Brenta (2,500 m)

After breakfast, the trail leads through a rocky valley to the 2500-meter-high Bocca di Brenta (8,202 ft). A long descent follows, taking hikers to Rifugio Selvata, where they can enjoy a meal, shower, and rest for the night. Distance: 9 km (5.5 mi) | Elevation Gain: +400 m (-1,312 ft) -1100 m (-3,608 ft) | Time: 5-6 hours

Day 3 - Descent and Ascent to Malga Spora (2,164 m)

Start from Rifugio Selvata towards Passo del Clamer (2,164 m / 7,099 ft). The ascent is steady through alpine meadows and rocky terrain, offering beautiful Dolomite views. Reaching Passo del Clamer, descending into the Val dei Cavai, a remote and scenic valley. The path continues with a gentle descent through pristine nature, leading to Malga Spora (1,850 m / 6,069 ft). Distance: 9 km (5.6 mi) | Elevation Gain: +650 m (+2,130 ft) -450 m (-1,480 ft) | Time: 4 hours

Day 4 - Val Flavona and Passo del Grosté (2,500 m)

The day begins with an ascent through scree slopes leading to the beautiful Val Flavona and Turrion Basso. After circling the valley, the trail climbs to Passo del Grosté, reaching Rifugio Stoppani for dinner and an overnight stay. Distance: 12 km (7.5 mi) | Elevation Gain: +1,100 m (+3,610 ft) -600 m (-1,970 ft) | Time: 6-7 hours

Day 5 - Final Descent and Return to Trento (1,513 m)

The last descent passes through rocky landscapes and meadows before joining the Vallesinella Waterfall Trail. Following the breathtaking waterfalls, the hike concludes at Rifugio Vallesinella. A car transfer back to Trento (4 PM) marks the end of an unforgettable adventure in the Brenta Dolomites. Distance: 7 km (4.3 mi) | Elevation Gain: +100 m (+330 ft) -1,000 m (-3,280 ft) | Time: 3-4 hours
