The Annapurna Base Camp trek, also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary trek, stands as one of the most renowned journeys within the Annapurna region, offering an unparalleled immersion into the breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas. This expedition encompasses a trek to Annapurna Base Camp, unveiling a panorama of majestic mountain peaks, traditional Gurung settlements, and enchanting rhododendron forests. Annapurna II (7,939m), Mt. Annapurna III (7,555m), Mt. Annapurna IV (7,525m), Mt. Lamjung Himal (6,986m), and Mt. Hiuchuli (6,441m). Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Kathmandu (1400 m)

Welcome to Kathmandu, the gateway to the Annapurna trek. Our guide, representing Freedom Adventures, awaits you at Tribhuwan International Airport. We recommend arriving before 4 PM. Post-hotel check-in, immerse yourself in the vibrant streets of Thamel, a treasure trove for travellers. Dive into the local culture with a Nepali dinner and prepare for your adventure with a comprehensive trek briefing. Stay overnight in Kathmandu, resting up for the exciting journey ahead.

Day 2 - Kathmandu to Chomrong (2150 m)

Embark on a scenic flight to Pokhara (822 m), the serene lakeside city and a pivotal stop on the Annapurna circuit trek. Post-flight, a drive to Siwai sets the stage for our hike to Chomrong (2150 m). As we trek, marvel at the cascading waterfalls and lush forests, arriving at Chomrong, a significant Gurung settlement. Overnight in Chomrong. Length: 11 km (6,8 m) Altitude difference: 840 m (2755 ft) Time: 3 hours by car + 3 hours by trek

Day 3 - Chomrong to Sinwa (2340 m)

Trek from Chomrong through mesmerizing jungles to Ghurjung and Sinwa (2340 m / 7677 ft), enjoying splendid views of Machapucchare Peak. The Annapurna sanctuary begins to reveal its wonders. Overnight in Sinwa. Length: 8 km (4,9 m) Altitude difference: 190 m (623 ft) Time: 4 hours

Day 4 - Sinwa to Deurali (3200 m)

Continue along the river from Sinwa to Bamboo (2340 m/ 7677 ft), an ascent filled with breathtaking vistas. The Annapurna base camp trek is challenging but rewarding, leading us to Deurali for the night. Length: 11 km (6,8 m) Altitude difference: 860 m (2821 ft) Time: 6 hours

Day 5 - Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4130 m)

Today’s trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4130 m / 13550 ft) traverses river shores and steep trails. The peaks of Mount Fishtail, Annapurna South, and others greet us as we approach the base camp. The panoramic view from Annapurna base camp is a rewarding experience for every hiker. Overnight at the base camp. Length: 8,5 km (5,2 m) Altitude difference: 930 m (3051 ft) Time: 5 hours

Day 6 - Return to Bamboo (2340 m)

Begin the descent from the snowy embrace of the mountains back to the lush landscapes, pausing at Machapuchhare Base Camp for last glances at the majestic peaks. Overnight in Bamboo (2340 m/ 7677 ft), surrounded by its namesake vegetation. Length: 19 km (11,8 m) Altitude difference: -1790 m (5872 ft) Time: 6,5 hours

Day 7 - Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1780 m)

Trek uphill to Kulldighar (1235 m), then Chomrong Khola (2150 m). Climbing the stone steps back to Chomrong, we proceed to Jhinu Danda (1780 m/ 5840 ft). Here, we rejuvenate in the hot springs, a balm for our muscles. Overnight at Jhinu Danda. Length: 10 km (6,2 m) Altitude difference: -560 m (1837 ft) Time: 5-6 hours

Day 8 - Jhinu Danda to Pokhara (822 m)

Our last trekking day offers tranquil views of Nepal’s midhills. Returning to Siwai, we drive to Pokhara (822 m) for a restful overnight stay, and the Annapurna circuit tour is nearing its end. Length: 11 km (6,8 m) Altitude difference: -958 m (3143 ft) Time: 6 hours

Day 9 - Pokhara to Kathmandu

A drive from Pokhara brings us back to Kathmandu. Utilize the day for leisure and last-minute shopping in Thamel. We gather for a celebratory dinner, reminiscing about our journey through the Annapurna circuit. Length: 205 km (127,3 m) Altitude difference: 488 m (1601 ft) Time: 7-8 hours

Day 10 - Departure from Kathmandu

As our Annapurna base camp package concludes, we part ways at Tribhuwan International Airport. We bid you farewell, carrying memories of the majestic Annapurna sanctuary. We recommend departing after 10-11 AM in order to have a good last breakfast together with the group.
