What you'll do

An incredible circular journey, accessible to all, that takes you from one shelter to another, offering a deep exploration of the breathtaking Dolomite group of the Pale di San Martino. This route traverses the Dolomites' vastest plateau, navigating around and approaching grand peaks and bold spires.

Itinerary

Meet at the Bus Station of Fiera di Primiero at 08:30 AM. Here we will introduce ourselves and describe the hikes, making sure everyone has the necessary equipment. Then we set off for our first destination: the Pradidali Refuge. the first will be the day with the greatest altitude difference. In fact, just over 1000 metres separate us from the destination. Here we will be able to refresh ourselves and rest surrounded by immense Dolomite walls and spires. Length: 7,5 km (4,6 m) Altitude difference: 1200 m (3937 ft) Time: 6 hours
On the second day, we will leave the Pradidali Hut and head into the heart of the mountain. We will touch the majestic plateau of the Pale di San Martino (which we will cross the following day), heading for the Rifugio Rosetta, our destination. Here, after cooling off, those who wish will be able to reach Cima Rosetta (2742 metres), a beautiful peak close to the hut, from which we can enjoy a unique panorama. The difference in altitude to reach the refuge is 450 metres. Add another 100 metres to reach the summit. Length: 7,2 km (4,4 m) Altitude difference: 650 m (2132 ft) Time: 5 hours
On the third day, we will enter the labyrinth of the largest plateau in the Dolomites. We will cross majestic ridges and begin our descent, stopping at the Rifugio Treviso (1631 metres), where we will spend our last night together. On this day, we will cover over 10km, and although the ascent will be small (less than 200 metres), we will cover around 1000 metres in descent. Length: 10 km (6,2 m) Altitude difference: 300 m (984 ft) Time: 5 hours
The last day's hike will take us back to civilisation. As we descend the last 650 metres, we will return to the beautiful grasslands from which we started. After five days at high altitude, we can indulge in some healthy relaxation by dipping our feet into the cool waters of the streams and ponds surrounding us at our arrival point. Length: 6 km (3,7 m) Negative altitude difference: 600 m (1968 ft) Time: 3,5 hours
